
200 days ago, I assumed office as the 6th Executive Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area. Today, as we mark this important milestone, I present another account of our stewardship and the progress recorded under our “Hi-SEE” transformation agenda for a greater Imota LCDA.
From day one, we committed ourselves to purposeful leadership, community-focused policies, and practical solutions to the challenges facing our people. Two hundred days later, we are proud to say that the journey of transformation is well underway.
Our administration continues to translate vision into action, ensuring that every street, political ward, and community within Imota LCDA feels the presence and impact of government. The progress recorded so far is a testament to the collective support of our people, the dedication of our workforce, and the cooperation of our political and community stakeholders.

Below are key highlights of our activities and achievements over the past 200 days:
INFRASTRUCTURE AND ENVIRONMENT
▪️ Conducted a Community Needs Assessment Tour to identify the priorities and pressing needs of residents across Imota LCDA.
▪️ Reconstructed culverts at Ayedelege Street, in front of the Primary Healthcare Centre in Atere, beside the Asphalt Yard, and at Lolo Estate to improve drainage and access.
▪️ Commissioned a six-block toilet facility with water system at Methodist Primary School, Imota, to enhance sanitation for pupils.
▪️ Graded 87 major internal roads across Imota LCDA to
improve mobility and access.
▪️ Installed a drainage gutter/culvert at the Bombata–Ileomi area to address flooding concerns.
▪️ Cleared the dumpsites at Oriokuta Community and Imota Roundabout to promote environmental cleanliness.
▪️ Reconstructed the plank footbridge linking Oke-Agbo and Igbalu communities to ease movement.
▪️ Cleared the Igbokuta bridge to improve drainage maintenance and ensure smooth water flow.

EDUCATION AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
▪️ Distributed 18 free GCE forms to indigent students across Imota LCDA.
▪️ Distributed 250 free JAMB UTME forms to students.
▪️ Organized a Spelling Bee Competition for primary and secondary school pupils.
▪️Donated ₦250,000 to the winner of the 21st Annual State Spelling Bee and ₦250,000 to Lagos State Model College, Igbokuta.
▪️ Organized “A Day with the Executive Chairman” to commemorate the 2025 National Youth Day.
▪️ Awarded financial grants of ₦50,000 each to six undergraduate students.
▪️ Held a strategic meeting with education stakeholders to address issues affecting the education sector.

HEALTH, STAFF WELFARE AND SOCIAL SUPPORT
▪️ Partnered with Harley and Rainbow Specialized Laboratories for a free medical outreach for staff.
▪️ Organized free aerobic exercise sessions to promote staff well-being.
▪️ Settled outstanding severance payments and salary arrears of former political office holders from 2011 – 2014 and 2021 – 2025; 2 months salary arrears of former political office holders 2011 – 2014; and payment of five Executive Secretaries 5 months salary arrears 2014 – 2016.
▪️ Hosted the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, during the First Baby of the Year 2026 celebration at Imota General Hospital.
▪️ Organized Christmas Carol and Thanksgiving services to Imota LCDA Public Servants.
▪️ Hosted a Christmas funfair for pupils of public primary schools across Imota LCDA.

GOVERNANCE AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
▪️ Hosted the Lagos One-Day Governor, One-Day Deputy Governor, and Student Secretary to the State Government.
▪️ Hosted the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Education District II.
▪️ Organized a budget stakeholders’ consultative meeting.
▪️ Conducted INEC ward-based Continuous Voter Registration across all wards.
▪️ Held a two-day 2026 Budget Retreat Programme.
▪️ Presented the 2026 Budget of Strategic Impact to the Legislative Arm.
▪️ Signed the 2026 Appropriation Bill into law.
▪️ Held a general staff meeting and interactive session with political office holders.

POLICY, PLANNING, AND COMMUNITY INITIATIVES
▪️ Developed a 10-Year Imota LCDA Development Master Plan (2025–2035).
▪️ Laid the foundation for a Christian chapel and mosque at the council secretariat.
▪️ Unveiled the “Hi-SEE” Transformation Agenda for the development of Imota LCDA.
▪️ Published weekly reports and quotes to keep the community informed and promote transparency.
▪️ Launched the “Be Heard” initiative to create feedback channels through social media.
▪️ Maintained an open-door policy to foster communication and community engagement.
As we mark 200 days in office, we remain grateful for the support, patience, and cooperation of the good people of Imota LCDA. The achievements recorded so far are only the beginning. Our administration is focused on consolidating these gains while embarking on more impactful projects across infrastructure, education, health, security, youth, and women empowerment.

The journey ahead remains promising. With the solid foundation we have laid, the remaining 1,245 days of this administration will witness greater transformation, improved service delivery, and sustained progress across all sectors.
